The Hail Mary

A prayer woven from the words of the Angel Gabriel and Saint Elizabeth, asking the prayers of the Blessed Mother.

PrayersTraditional Catholic Prayer

The first lines are taken from the Gospel of Luke (1:28, 1:42); the Church adds her petition for the Mother of God's intercession.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
